Vejam a lista das escolas com Imersao francesa no norte de Oakville

Abbey Lane
Abbey Lane is pleased to welcome the Early
Language Development Centre in September.
Currently we have four classes of Full Day
Kindergarten. The staff and students in these
classes will be happy to welcome more of their
peers to the Kindergarten Family!
Pat Barr, Principal

Captain R. Wilson
Now that the Boundary Review Process is
behind us, you can find all relevant information
on the board website. We now turn our
thoughts and excitement, here at Captain R.
Wilson, to the construction of our Kindergarten
addition. Watch the development on our web
page (Drydock tab) as we prepare to welcome
Full Day Kindergarten in September 2012.
Alka Sahai, Principal

Emily Carr
Emily Carr is a K-8 school of approximately
775 students and our students represent more
than 57 countries. The foundation of the work
we do is based on the TRIBES philosophy and
community building. We would like to extend
a warm welcome to all new families joining our
school in September 2012. We look forward to
meeting you and learning and working together.
Elizabeth Hudson, Principal

Forest Trail
Bienvenue and welcome to École Forest Trail
Public School. We look forward to welcoming
our new students and their parents to EFT for
September 2012. Next month, on May 31st from
5-8 p.m. our very dedicated School Council will
be hosting our 2nd annual Family Funfair. We
encourage you to come out and visit our school
during this special opportunity to meet new
families and get acquainted with our awesome
school facility. Our student ambassadors will be
conducting tours of the school during our Funfair
at 5:30 p.m. and repeated again at 6:30 p.m.
We encourage our new parents to access our
school website at for.hdsb.ca for up-to-date
information about our school. As we begin to
build classes for next year, we will work closely
with the other schools to ensure that students
coming to EFT are paired with some of their
friends or current school peers. At anytime if
you have questions re: EFT, please do not hesitate
to contact the School Principal, Steve Pilibbossian, via email at
3pilibbossians@hdsb.ca or by calling the main
office.
Steve Pilibbossian, Principal

Heritage Glen
At Heritage Glen, we are excited to be welcoming
our new primary French Immersion students who
will be joining our community in September. We
will be welcoming students back to Heritage Glen
who attended JKSK, as well as students new to
Heritage Glen. Our English and French
Immersion classes will be working together to
build upon already strong academic and social
programs. Our school has a proud tradition of
academics, athletics and activities and we
encourage everyone to get involved and
contribute to the great things happening here. This
month, Heritage Glen has embarked upon an
"Inspire Kindness" theme. Our launch just before
Easter included the distribution of blue wristbands
to all of our staff and students to represent this
ongoing focus. Moving throughout the spring, we
will be continuing to model and promote kindness
at the school. As we move forward with transition
plans for our new students for 2012-13, this focus
will grow to include our new Huskies as well.
Brent Phillips, Principal

Palermo
The Palermo students and staff would like to let
the students who are leaving Palermo know we
will miss you. We know your new schools will
welcome you and you will quickly make new
friends and bond with your teachers. Best wishes
as you continue to “discover something new” at
your new school.
Chris Alexiou, Principal

Pilgrim Wood
The Pilgrim Wood community is excited to be
welcoming French Immersion students to our
school. Our school will now house the Gifted
program, French Immersion and the Community
programs. We are looking forward to the energy
this will create. We have started the preparation
for our new program through discussions with our
school council, family of schools and we are of
course hiring new staff to meet our needs. We will
be announcing an open house opportunity for our
French Immersion students and their families
when we have assembled our team of teachers.
Pilgrim Wood is a school of great traditions, a
wonderful student body and a very supportive
parent community represented by our Home and
School Association and School Council. We are
sure our new families will find meaningful ways
to get involved in all of our activities and we urge
you to do so. Please drop in on a school council
meeting (first Monday of the month) or check out
our Spring Carnival on June 7.
Welcome! Bien Venu!
John Pennyfather, Principal

West Oak
As West Oak prepares for the upcoming school
year, we will be collaborating with the staff of
École Forest Trail to ensure a smooth transition
plan is implemented for our SK students entering
the EFT Grade 1 French Immersion Program.
Specifically, West Oak Kindergarten teachers will
be completing a Student Profile form for each
student, detailing students' academic strengths and
needs, school based supports that individual
students may be receiving, and suggested
groupings of students for Grade 1. Administration
and Resource Teachers will be meeting to discuss
how to continue to support students who are
currently receiving resource support. Parents are
invited to contact the West Oak office staff or
Mrs. Cericola if they have any questions
regarding the transition process.
Margaret Cericola, Principal

FINAL WORD
This has been a complex boundary review process
causing some angst in the community. I appreciate
that not all in the community support the final
motion, but I have complete confidence in the
staffs at all schools that your children will continue
to experience the high standards of education
they always have.
