Feira de Voluntariado - 25 de Setembro 2014

Want to help make a difference? Come out to the volunteer fair!
Are you looking to get involved in something positive? Do you want to help make a change in your community? Are you looking to enhance employment opportunities? Do you need to learn new skills and gain Canadian experience?
If any of these apply to you, then come join The Newcomer Information Centre’s free Volunteer Fair on Thursday, September 25, 2014! This is a good opportunity for anyone looking to obtain more information about volunteer opportunities in Halton Region.
This event is targeting newcomers and immigrants to Canada; however everyone is welcome to stop by and join in. This is a great chance to network, meet volunteer organizations, and get connected in the community!
Several organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Girl Guides of Canada, OSCR (Oakville Senior Citizens Residence) and Volunteer Halton, will be participating. They will have booths set up to provide clients with information, resources and volunteer opportunities.
The volunteer fair will be held from 10am until 12 noon on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at The Newcomer Information Centre, located at 171 Speers Rd, Suite 20, Oakville. If you want to volunteer but don’t know where to start, then come out to the volunteer fair and have all your questions answered!
